Apple's new toys

Last week at Apple’s WWDC (World Wide Developer Conference), the company announced details of the new iPhone operating system (3.0), new iPhone hardware and a refresh/reorganization of the laptop line.
iPhone 3.0 is going to bring lots of things that people have been clamoring for; cut & paste, MMS (when ATT gets around to it), video - along with the software update will be new hardware. The new iPhone 3GS will sport a 3 megapixel camera along with a few other internal upgrades...you won’t be able to tell the difference by looking at them though, the form factor hasn’t changed (not so great for case makers since no one has to upgrade their case of choice).
I don’t mind, I really like my current In Case sleeve.
Snow Leopard was detailed (as well as Snow Leopard Server) - it’s an upgrade to the current operating system that has much improved the internal workings of the Mac OS but most people won’t really see much of a difference.

The laptop line was changed a bit - now there are 13” MacBook Pro’s! Only one MacBook left (the white plastic). The line was upgraded to internal, non-removable, batteries with 40% longer life. Not necessary for an immediate upgrade but they sure do look nice!

I will be upgrading my iPhone 3G to a 3GS as soon as ATT let’s me at the fully subsidized price ($299 for 32GB) around July 12.

In other news I’m playing with the iPhone SDK (I joined the developer to have access) allowing me to build an iPhone app - I’m open to any ideas!
